About Stefan Afendoulis

Stefan manages our Asia Pacific and Middle East Systems Integration business from a marketing, customer contact and partnership perspective.

Stefan is plugged in to support all of our partnerships in these geographies. Where Asymptotix has either marketing partnerships (such as with Achevx in Saudi Arabia) or product partnerships, Stefan is in place to bring to bear not only his extensive large scale banking systems integration expertise but also to support our clients with his extended network of talented and experienced individuals who can bring together a solution proposition for you, consistent with the Asymptotix philosophy of Solution Partnerships.

Stefan engaged with Societe General China in a complex banking project launching Retail, Wealth Management and Corporate banking across China.

The Project included: implementation of a new core banking system, data warehouse, Bank-wide/Group-wide consolidated Financial Reporting, complex interfaces, and management and problem resolution for numerous third-party providers. Stefan leveraged his technical and managerial expertise to define, design and execute strategies to facilitate key aspects of the project moving including data migration, integration, data warehouse as well as infrastructure and application management.

In a few weeks Stefan had defined: scope, detailed schedules with associated issues & risks. Employing a philosophy of empowering/knowledge transfer of the permanent team members Stefan contributed greatly to the development of local Chinese new-hires as well as the less experienced amongst the existing project team. 

As a member of the senior management team Stefan was able to put in place the means to accurately and transparently project work ahead, state actual progress and address issues & risks across the entire programme of work- in real-time.
