Luxembourg IT is in charge of the global infrastructure managed locally and remotely. The main technologies used are Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, HP (Servers, Storage, PCs, Printers), Cisco (Network and Telephony).

Junior System Administrator

Key responsibilities:

       Day to day IT tasks on users systems (PCs and Citrix Servers)

       End user support on all aspects of their IT infrastructure user experience

       Assistance to System Engineers for infrastructure systems management

       Users’ systems:

o    Hardware / software deployment,

o    Hardware / software support,

       Corporate deployment platform:

o    Development and maintenance of the whole platform (based on RIS, HP tools, GPOs, scripting and packaging)

       Citrix Presentation Servers Suite:

o    End-user support

o    Systems administration (depending on skills)

       Users’ environment:

o    End user incident requests management, hardware and software aspects

o    End user change requests implementation

       Servers:

o    Basic administration (depending on skills)

Technical competencies:

       IT education and degree (BAC+4/5, Master degree)

       1-2 years in a similar position

       Good windows client platform (XP)

       Knowledge from an IT and user perspective

       Good standard Windows Desktop software suite knowledge (MS Office products, IE and alternate browsers, etc...) from an IT and user perspective

       IT Scripting languages (shell, VBScript)

       Software packaging

       Basic Windows Server concepts:
AD forest / domain / site
GPOs
DHCP / DNS
RIS

       Citrix Presentation Server 3.x / 4.x

       Basic Networking concepts:
Switch / vlans
IP and routing
VPN

Personal competencies:

       Fluent in French

       Good command of English

       Willing to learn and service oriented
